DR.EV SUPPORT• Getting Started
When Tesla Account Linking Does Not Complete
Troubleshoot failed return-to-app, link failure, and missing vehicles in one flow.
Symptoms
- After Tesla login, the app does not open again.
- An error screen appears instead of completion.
- Linking appears done, but no vehicles are shown.
Possible Causes
- Deep-link handoff from browser to app failed.
- VPN, ad blocker, or firewall interrupted OAuth flow.
- Signed in with a different Tesla account than the vehicle owner account.
Immediate Actions
- Disable VPN, ad blockers, and firewall and retry.
- Change default browser and retry linking.
- Verify Tesla app email and DR.EV linked account email are identical.
- If needed, unlink and link again.
If It Still Fails
- Send app version, OS version, timestamp, error text, and screenshots.
- Provide exact failure step in sequence for reproducibility.
